My professional life happened in a surprising way. I had actually played music as a living for quite a while.
I decided I wanted to be able to do more, so I went back to school to learn how to fix amplifiers. In the process
I was required to take a semester of digital electronics, and found that I had a knack for that. I finished my AS
degree in electronics, then continued on a path to get a computer engineering degree at UCSD. I went directly to
work after I completed that, working in software development. It has been a great path for me.
